What to expect once online service launches

  1. 1Submit an online appointment request with basic document and signer details.
  2. 2Receive instructions for the approved platform, identity verification, and appointment preparation.
  3. 3Meet with the notary in a secure live audio-video session when the document is eligible for remote notarization.

Before your appointment

Help the appointment go smoothly

The signer must be present, able to communicate directly with the notary, and willing to sign or acknowledge the document.

Bring identification

Bring a current, unexpired government-issued photo ID. Additional identification may be requested when needed.

Review the document

Bring the complete document. Do not leave required pages or information blank unless completion is required during the appointment.

Confirm the notarial act

Ask the document recipient which notarial act is required. A notary cannot choose the act or provide legal advice.
